Queen Margaret University is one of the affordable public university based in Scotland and is named after the Scottish Queen Saint Margaret. The institution is well known to be at the forefront of education, research and innovation. Admission to an undergraduate program can be made by applicants who hold a relevant diploma or other recognized qualification such as GCE A Levels, International Baccalaureate (IB), American High School Diploma with SAT’s or AP’s out of few other qualifications. Generally, international students from Nepal who have passed  the School Leaving Certificate (Grade XII) with a minimum final GPA of 2.8 / 60% or above may also considered eligible for a direct entry into an undergraduate program. IELTS of 6.0 with no components less than 5.5, an equivalent PTE, TOEFL, or an Oxford ELLT Test is also accepted as a proof of proficiency for English language.

For entry into a postgraduate courses, the institution will consider applications from students holding a good four-year Bachelors degree from a recognized university. Students who have already acquired a Master’s degree will also be eligible to apply for a relevant program. Likewise, an IELTS of 6.5 with no components less than 6.0, an equivalent PTE, TOEFL, or an Oxford ELLT Test is also accepted as a proof of proficiency for English language.

QMU International Scholarships worth £3,000 are available to new international students undertaking their first year of study on an undergraduate or a postgraduate degree. PhD Studentships are also available to students wanting to pursue PhD degree at the university.

Tuition fee for an undergraduate degree and postgraduate degrees are reasonable and the availability of scholarships makes the already reasonable university more affordable making the institution one of the most pursued university among international students.
