Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are prestigious high-level and integrated international study programs at the master’s level jointly designed and delivered by an international partnership of higher education institutions (HEIs). These programs involve at least three higher education institutions (HEIs) from three different countries, with at least two of them being European Union (EU) Member States and the third from a country associated with the Program (previously known as Program Countries). In addition, they also involve multiple associated partners from the academic and non-academic world. Typically, the program include periods of study, research, trainee-ship, thesis preparation and defense. Type of degree awarded will either be a joint degree (i.e. one single degree certificate issued on behalf of at least two higher education institutions) or multiple degrees (i.e. at least two degree certificates issued by two higher education institutions of the consortium).
The program asks an applicant to have at least a bachelor’s degree (first degree), or be in their last year of bachelor studies. Another needing factor is the graduation of the applicant before the master’s program starts. One may also apply if one can demonstrate a bachelor’s equivalent level of learning officially recognized, according to national legislation and practices, in the degree awarding country.
Scholarships availability are designed to offer full scholarships to the excellently ranked students worldwide. In general, the scholarship cover one’s participation costs and contribute to travel, visa and a living allowance. In general, an applicant should submit their application between October and January for courses starting the following academic year.
