One of the world’s largest, eight largest by revenue and Europe’s third most valuable pharmaceutical company primarily known for innovation of modern medicines, Novartis AG is a Swiss multinational pharmaceutical corporation headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. Novartis was formed in 1996 by the merger of Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz. The company has its global research operations- “Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR)” located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States.
