The Quebec- Selected- Skilled-Workers are designed for skilled workers wanting to become permanent residents of Canada and live in Quebec. Application for this route must be done online. A permanent residence online application portal account needs to be opened and relevant documents needs to be submitted.
Crucial forms that needs to be filled and submitted via the portal mainly includes;
- Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008)
- Schedule A – Background/ Declaration (IMM 5669)
- Additional Family Information (IMM 5406)
- Supplementary Information – Your travels (IMM 5562)
- Use of a Representative (IMM 5476), if applicable
- Schedule 5: Declaration of Intent to Reside in Quebec: Economic Classes completed by principal applicants destined to Quebec
Other major documents that are must haves includes travel documents and passports (every pages) including VISA stamps (if any). Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ) is required to be submitted by all applicants and their accompanying family members who will be residing in the province of Quebec. Likewise, follows the submission of identity and civil status documents for oneself and if a partner is accompanying then likewise i.e. birth certificates, national identity cards, marriage certificates, and any circumstantial changes (if any) associated with the same. Now, if one has a common-law partner, the Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (IMM 5409) must be submitted followed by evidences that one has cohabited with their partner for a period of at least 12 continuous months. In such a situation, copies of joint bank account statements, copies of leases, utility bills, etc. would add advantage to the application.
In case if the children are accompanying the main applicant, then their identity and relationship evidences with their parents including proof of previous/ continuous full time studies should be provided as proofs. Now, if the other parent of the applicant’s children is not accompanying to Canada, then a signed Statutory Declaration from Non Accompanying Parent/ Guardian for Minors Immigrating to Canada (IMM 5604) must be signed and submitted. Likewise, one form for each child and a copy of the non-accompanying parent’s photo ID (showing their signature) should also be submitted. Other documents include police certificates and photos followed by application fees.
