Pathway Student Visa is a pilot project reserved for international students wanting to study up to 3 programs (3 years) of study, one after the other, on a single visa, and stay for a period of up to 5 years. Depending on the course of study, students will be able to work part time for up to 25 hours a week and full time during the holidays.

The visa, however, is only available for some courses of study and that too with approved Pathway Education Providers. To stay in New Zealand on a Pathway Student Visa, students will still need to meet the pre-requisites for any second and third courses on their study pathway.

The Pathway Student VISA benefits education providers, specifically students as it can help students give full concentration on their studies without having to worry about their VISA. Likewise, reduces hassles and costs; provides certainty for students and their families ultimately making the whole transition between courses of study smoother.
