Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), Brighton is an ACCA Gold Learning Partner and is known to offer a world recognized Diploma in Professional Studies in Accounting (ACCA) developed conjointly with the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) to meet the requirements of both an ACCA Applied Skills syllabus including a Diploma in Professional Studies in Accounting.

ACCA syllabus mapping at this institution is done in a way that the course is run alongside the ACCA qualifications. The Diploma in Professional Studies in Accounting follows the ACCA’s Applied Skills stage (formerly papers F1–F9) papers, upon completion after which, one will be able to gain a diploma and become partly-qualified; enabling a candidate to also be eligible to progress onto a Masters and the ACCA Strategic Professional stage syllabus. Application can also be applied to ACCA for exemptions from Applied Skills papers (formerly papers F4 to F9 inclusive).

Entry requirements in regards to the ACCA qualifications requires- to be eligible to apply for the Diploma in Professional Studies in Accounting, one must gain ACCA exemptions for the Applied Knowledge Papers (formerly papers F1- F3) as a minimum. For candidates from Nepal wanting an entry into the program, the program requires a candidate to possess a 65% or above in their two-year Higher Secondary Education Board Examination Certificate. In addition, students with relevant diplomas and HNDs may also be considered for advanced entry on a case-by-case basis. A postgraduate candidate, on the other hand, is required to have a three-year bachelor degree with a GPA of 2.6 or 65% or a four-year degree with a GPA of 2.2 or 60%. English language requirement to get into the program is IELTS 6.0 with no bands less than 5.5 and fees is 13,425 Pounds.

The course structure requires a student to study 6 modules, 3 modules each semester; comprising of Performance Management, Audit and Assurance, Financial Management, Corporate and Business Law, Financial Reporting (International) and Taxation and assessment involves both coursework and exams. Upon completion of Diploma in Professional Studies in Accounting, opportunity will also be able to progress onto the Accounting PGDip/MSc course to gain a university qualification while also receiving tuition for the ACCA professional-level papers.
