With 80% of the university’s research programs rated world leading and internationally excellent, PhD study at the University of West London has been unquestionably ranked for its academic achievement, premier research and offerings of in-depth expertise in varied fields, enhancing student’s critical thinking, research skills, as well opens doors to academia, industry leadership, and innovation. In the latest Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES), the institution has also been ranked 2nd globally for satisfaction and research. Degrees here are concrete and are focused onto delivering students ways to discover, integrate, application and to communicate and disseminate the same; all in all, emphasize them to make significant original contributions in their targeted field of knowledge.

With as many PhD programs offered in September and February of any year, one will have an opportunity to join the international research and learning community and make the most out of their collaborative research groups and Research Centres. A PhD by Prior Publication/ Portfolio is also available at the university and provides a candidate an opportunity to obtain a PhD based on an independent and original research he/ she has already undertaken or published.

In addition, scholarships as the Vice-Chancellor’s PhD Scholarships are also encouraged for the advancement of areas of science and technology. International students can avail the opportunity of stipend of up to £22,000 per year (tax free) along with waiver of tuition fees for three years. This opportunity awarded to international students for their contribution towards the field of science and technology also makes the University of West London one of the most pursued university of the UK.
