Formerly known as the University of Paisley, the University of West of Scotland is a well recognized UK based public university with its campuses in Paisley, Blantyre, Dumfries, Ayr, along with a popularly emerging campus in London. It is a 21st century research university well known for innovation and creation.

London campus has been recognized for winning the Higher Educational Institution of the Year (2022) as well ranked 16th in the world for its impact on the UN’s “Sustainable Development Goals: Reducing Inequalities” in the 2024 Times Higher Education (THE), Impact Rankings. It is known for operating cost friendly preparatory foundation programs, including undergraduate and postgraduate courses in business, management, health, social care, and specializations of IT and computer science. English language test benchmark is flexible with most undergraduate and postgraduate programs requiring an IELTS of overall 6.0 with 5.5 each and / or PTE of overall 59 with 59 each and major intakes running on Jan, May and September of every year.

Teaching method comprises of scheduled learnings and a good percentage of independent study. Assessment, on the other hand, is mainly a combination of written examinations, coursework, reports, essays, case studies, oral presentations, and assignments out of various others. A second class honors (2:2) is generally required to be accepted into a postgraduate and a PhD program. A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program however requires and IELTS of overall 6.5 with 6.0 each and / or a PTE of 66 overall and each with major intakes running on February and October of every year.
