Hungary, a landlocked country in Central Europe is a high economy country with tuition free secondary education. Higher education in Hungary has been ranked and widely known to offer varied choices in study as well as research endeavors. Educational system in Hungary is public and run by the Ministry of Human Resources. Universities of Hungary are public institutions and students generally study without paying tuition fee. Matura (secondary school exit exam or a “maturity diploma”, also called as university entrance exam) is generally a prerequisite in order to apply to a university or other institutions of higher education.
Authorized immigration entity of Hungary requires any non EU individual intending to study for more than three months ought to possess along with the VISA application, a residence permit to enter into the country. Apart from acceptance letter indicating the full time course the student will be undertaking at the university, one also need to have acquired appropriate language skills, made suitable arrangements of accommodation, managed sufficient financial resources for his / her stay, should have shown evidence of health insurance as well a valid travel document.

One must also keep in mind that if one has a residence permit on the grounds of a students VISA, one can work for only 24 hours a week during term time and for a maximum of 90 days (66 working days per year) beyond term time.
