Some highlighters about studying in Georgia- a transcontinental country

For those who did not know, Georgia is actually a small country which lies at the intersection of Asia and Europe. Known for the spectacular architecture of Tbilisi and the scenic mountains, the country is one of a most pursued destination to study MBBS and MBA. One can actually expect to receive a globally recognized degree at an affordable fee alongside enjoying the unique cultural vibes the country has to offer.

Generally, a D3 category Visa is issued to students wanting to study in Georgia. International students intending to study in Georgia will have to secure their Visa through the submission of documentation via E Application System as the e-Visa Portal. Apart from admission and application forms, core documents required are;

· A valid passport

· Proof of acceptance from a recognized Georgian Educational Institution

· Proof of sufficient financial means in the form of a letter or bank statement covering the transaction of last three months

· Medical Insurance

· Proof of Accommodation for Students in Georgia

· Travel insurance covering VISA validity for 3 months

· Other supporting documents as required

Residence permit for those under study VISA can be issued from 6 months to one year at first and can be extended for up to 5 to 6 years via application submission at the Public Service Hall. In addition, the VISA holder also carry the authorization to invite another Foreigner in the country. Any student intending to enter Georgia must apply for a residence card at territorial office of Public Service Development agency, a Community Center or branch of Public Service Hall within a month of entering the country. Students from the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal (सङ्घीय लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्र) can apply for an immigration visa to Embassy of Georgia in the Republic of India.
